Closed Loop

DK Enterprises “closed loop” networking approach has enabled its clients to bring awareness of their recycled content products and technologies to other suppliers, buyers, decision makers and industry professionals; many of whom are directly involved in the construction, maintenance, solid waste and management of operations nationwide.

What is "Closed Loop"? The intent is to start with a product that is made of recycled content. When the consumer has utilized the usefulness of the material/product they will return the item to a location where it is collected (baled as illustrated above) and transported to a recycling plant. The recycling plant then tracks (for carbon footprinting) the recycled content material throughout the production process. The material is then converted to a state where it can then be repurposed to new products. The objective of the "closed loop" networking approach will benefit companies, venues, events and organizations that are looking for clear concise ways to repurpose their post-consumer recyclables.

Recycling takes material out of the waste stream which reduces transportation and disposal costs.
